This
paper aims to identify the steps that need to be followed in an ERP project to
reach the alignment (fit) between business and ERP processes, through a
longitudinal research carried out in a company involved in such a project.
The results show that alignment can be reached through ERP adaptations
(configuration and extensions) and business process adjustments (change in work
tasks, change in working methods…). Nevertheless, it also highlights the
importance of applying change management techniques (project team composition,
end-users’ involvement, communication and training) to the project in order to
overcome the adaptations difficulties and, hence achieve the alignment objective.....

The notion of KM is gaining an increasing popularity in business and
academic spheres. This preoccupation is explained by the fact that knowledge
is considered as a strategic asset which must be managed by the firm. In
fact, firms practise KM, more or less consciously and systematically, since
a long time. This paper presents the results of a research in progress which
aim is to identify the role of organizational structure and the utilization
of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in KM
practices in Tunisian firms operating in the
pharmaceutical sector. |

« Preservation
of organisational intelligence at the era of Web
technologies »
by

The competitiveness of organizations is depending on the
quality of information which they acquire or produce.
Organizations are extensively invested in the deployment
of Web technologies, particularly Web information systems,
to control informational flows resulting from various
organizational processes. These technologies deeply affect
the nature and the management of informational contents.
New approaches are required to manage adequately
organizational memory and to exploit it as strategic
weapon. We suggest several methods which aim to solve the
problem of the deterioration of digital information. These
methods aim also to facilitate the choice of the
appropriate solution to preserve organizational knowledge,
essential component for any strategy of economic
intelligence. |
