professional communities: a new lever of knowledge
management"
by Fadila
KAOUANE and Imed BOUGHZALA Institut
TELECOM Management Sud Paris, (France). |
|
Nowadays, virtual communities
(whatever of practice, of knowledge, of interest, of project…) in the
professional environment, represent an important value for the companies. They
constitute places of creation, transfer and sharing of information and
knowledge. Many companies try to use these communities to develop new services
or products, to support the emergence of innovations and to be competitive. The
often informal character of these communities makes very difficult their
identification and their management. Moreover, the development of these
communities is closely related to that of the ICT, by there virtual side, which
naturally raises the question of the adequacy of technological supports
proposed, in particular collaborative tools with their needs and constraints in
the work situations....

»
by
Senda WALI
and
Younes BOUJELBENE,
University of Sfax,
(Tunisia). |
|
ISO 9000 certification has become an
important factor for doing business in the global market.
However, its contribution to a
firm's value is still a controversial issue. This
paper contributes to this debate by empirically
investigating the impact of the first achieving ISO 9000
certification on the Tunisian stock market. The analysis
is based on the event study methodology.
Based on data for a sample of 15
manufacturing companies, the
findings show a negative reaction four days before the
event. A financial performance analysis covering a 5-year
period centered on the year of the ISO 9000 certification
was also carried out. The
dimensions of financial performance are growth in ROA, in
ROS and in Sales/Assets. The
results suggest that the ISO 9000 certification have a
powerful cost effect, decreasing the operating performance
and the profitability in the year following the
certification.... |

E-financial reporting of CAC 40 French compagnies :
the K.M. approch." by
Samir

CREDO-
ESSCA (France). |
|
The
financial reporting by Internet or the e-financial
reporting has become recently one of the must important
mean of reporting of firms. Information became accessible
in real-time as well by the institutional investors as by
small shareholders. Even if the process of transmission of
the financial information developed, it is not the case
for its contents. Indeed, information on the intellectual
capital of the company which is more and more requested by
financial markets remains not enough reported by
companies.
This article presents the concept
of Knowledge Management (KM), by underlining the interest
of its adoption for the reporting of information on the
intellectual capital and the quality of the e-financial
reporting of the company. The results of a survey carried
out near 14 French companies of the CAC 40 will be
exposed. They will be preceded by a longitudinal study by
the contents by Internet web sites of its companies
between 2003 and 2006.
