by Josse

New information and communication technologies
advances (ICT), in support of the Internet revolution, brought many promises of
deep change regarding the economic and organisational systems. In addition to
the e-commerce and networks communities’ areas, ICT has strongly impacted firm’s
operational and administrative activities by introducing new practices. Some
authors have viewed in this trend a new kind of management called
“e-management”. After five years into the Internet revolution, it appears useful
to review the reality of this assertion: To what extent ICT has modified the
firm value chain? How the systems of management and information, and the
organization structure have been really impacted by the ICT? Based on our
experience, our article examines the specific case of financial services and
insurance sector in which ICT, in particular dematerialization and worflows

"Documenting
the Implementation of an ERP System in Saudi Arabia. A case study" by
Hafid
AGOURRAM Bishop’s University Sherbrooke (Canada) |
|
Enterprise Resource Planning
(ERP) systems dictate how business should run and impose a
standard and centralized organizational architecture. The
logic of these systems is usually different from the
business logic which jeopardizes the business culture,
structure, and management.
The rate of introduction of ERP systems in pubic
organizations in Saudi Arabia is very low. Research on how
the implementation of these systems went through is
lacking. This work partially fills this gap by outlining
the implementation process of the Oracle suite system in a
public University in Saudi Arabia and explains how Saudi
National culture impacts the implementation process...... |

« Services quality provided by Services and
Computer Engineering Firms (SCEF) and customers
satisfaction.
»
by Hanene TRABELSI ELLOUZE et Jamil
CHAABOUMI
University of Sfax
(Tunisia). |
|
The aim of this paper is to study
the service quality as determinant of client’s
satisfaction. In order to identify the dimensions of
perceived service quality which are the most susceptible
to influence small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs),
SERVQUAL was conducted. This model was utilised in many
other contexts. However, its application to the services
provided by SCEF in Tunisian context is original. The
survey has been led with 45 customers (Tunisian SME) of 7
Tunisian SCEF. The results indicate that customer
satisfaction depends on the assurance and the empathy
given to each customer. However, the tangible aspects, the
reliability and the responsiveness don’t have a
significant influence on SME satisfaction.... |
